Getting Ready

Picture: Penny getting ready for some serious strimming

A lot of last Saturday's Work Day was tidying up around the lake after summer and getting ready for winter. Autumn appears to be already upon us with the days significantly shorter and morning mists lingering longer. Preparations are well underway for next Saturday and the move into Mangala House (see details). The dedication ceremony of the new property will begin shortly after the midday meal with a procession down the hill carrying the gilded Buddha rupa. We are also preparing for the visit of Ajahn Ahimsako from Amaravati; he will be leading a lay retreat at Kusala House this next weekend. The annual offering of Dhamma books and calendars for free distribution by the generous folk in Malaysia have arrived and are ready to be distributed at Kathina (which is set for Sunday 23rd October). We have already posted a notice about the possibility to serve on the Support Team during our forth-coming winter retreat.
