Update on restrictions resulting from COVID-19
8th June 2020
Stipulations that the government has had in place for several weeks are now beginning to be relaxed. However, out of concern for the residents of the monastery and its neighbours, the sangha is waiting before making any significant changes to restrictions. Please refer to earlier announcements on our website for details.
Whilst you cannot currently visit the monastery in person, you may like to know that it is possible to request that the sangha read out a dedication at the meal time or at evening puja. You may request a dedication by sending the wording to sangha@ratanagiri.org.uk. It may not always be possible for this to be done at a specific time.
Food and Requisites offerings
The sangha at Aruna Ratanagiri are grateful to those who have been in touch asking about how the monastery is being supported without visitors. For now, arrangements for ensuring enough food is available, are proving adequate.The monastery's trustees are alert to the situation and four friends of the community have made their phone numbers available (see below) so anyone with a question can call them -

Sponsored Meal
Regrettably, during this time of strict limitation, our kitchen is not available to prepare and offer a sponsored meal on your behalf. What is still possible is that you send a donation towards the general running costs of the monastery and you request that a dedication be read out at the meal time.
