FULL MOON – Reflecting on Death

none of your fond attachments will protect you.

Those committed to finding happiness by way of clinging, dread death and are desperate to avoid it. The Buddha recommended we regularly reflect on the inevitability of our death and focus on that which dispels fear and desperation. We only have a limited amount of energy. On what do we spend it? We could invest in the gratification of casual desires, or we could cultivate understanding and warmth of heart.
