Gentle Calm

After all the wind we had during the recent retreat week, last Saturday's Lake Work Day with a wash-out, however moods were not too dampened and lots of work was still done. Thankfully these interludes of inclement weather are beautifully contrasted with periods of gentle calm. Last Sunday's Practice and Study Day on the Fourth of the Four Foundations of Mindfulness was well attended. Today, Wednesday, Ajahn Abhinando departs for several days teaching in Spain. Various contractors have been booked to make a few minor alterations to Mangala House during the month of October, before we all join in a painting and cleaning project for the month of November.
