Today, Monday 8th, is the New Moon day for the month of April, 2024.
The next Uposatha Day will be the Full Moon, which falls on Tuesday, 23rd April, 2024.
Current residents at the monastery are: Luang Por Munindo, Ajahn Punnyo, Tan Samacitto, Samanera Nibbuto, Samanera Attanyu, Samanera Thitapemo, and Anagarika Craig.
New Q&A content has been added to the dhammakatha.org website. For those who aren't aware of this site, it is a platform for Buddhist practitioners to submit written questions via email. Responses by Luang Por Munindo, in audio format, are all under 15 minutes. New material is usually posted each New Moon and Full Moon.
Mealtimes have changed in keeping with the clocks going forward. The meal is now served each morning at 11.30 am.
Samanera Attanyu is back with us. He spent the Winter Retreat at Cittaviveka Monastery in West Sussex.
On Sunday 31st March Luang Por Munindo gave a talk titled, The Number One Global Stressor. In it he highlighted how, besides the various challenges we are having to face - ecological, political, technological - there is the spiritual matter of how we understand the sense of self that we cling to as a source of identity. Is it stable and secure and worth all the attention we give it? Or would trusting in True Principles be a wiser orientation of attention?

The Songkran Festival will take place on Sunday 14th April.
Ajahn Kevali and Phra Mahachomkaew are due to arrive on May 2nd. Ajahn Kevali will be visiting for two weeks this time though Phra Mahachomkaew is expected to be here at least until after kathina.
There is still room left on the 2024 Summer Lay Retreat to be led by Ajahn Nyanarato: June 24th to 28th.
Throughout 2024 there will be a number of one-day retreats available. The first one is set for Saturday, May 4th, to be led by Ajahn Punnyo. Please see our website for further dates.
