Work Weekend - 5th/6th August 2023
Restoring the island in Harnham Lake.
Time - 8.30 am - 11 am then approximately 1.30 pm - 5 pm
We installed the island a few years ago as a refuge for the wildfowl which use the monastery's lake. Over time, part of it has washed away so we will be doing repairs to restore the island, including reinforcing the foundations to reduce future erosion.
The work will be quite heavy, muddy and possibly wet (we have waders for those who need to enter the water).
