Maintaining Standards

The weekend of 16th-17th was busy with lots of guests, including our good friends from the Leeds Group. Luang Por gave a talk on Saturday night called Formal and Daily-life Practice discussing how the benefits of sitting meditation might integrate into everyday activity. Ajahn Abhinando gave a talk on Sunday night about Samadhi and Vipassana. Monday and Tuesday were quiet days. Paul-from-Germany has been working hard to help us meet the Water Authority’s standard for weir maintenance. Anagarika Paul has been diligently developing vegan recipes and cultivating ahimsa. Cesare, as usual, has been checking pulses and inserting needles. Yom Mame is learning how to sew bowl covers and Yom Yoo is keeping Kusala House spic and span. She has also been teaching some of the guests to speak Thai. Michael Bergweiller joins us on Friday preparing to take up anagarika training. And we hope lots of our more local friends will join us on Saturday 23rd for the monthly Lake Work Day. Sunday will be a Study/Practice day, this time on Kindness.en busy.
